Led by AFL legend Eddie Betts, Eddie has worked successfully in the AFL over his 17-year career to nurture and develop Indigenous players to achieve their goals, the Eddie Betts Foundation is an Aboriginal-led and owned, not-for-profit which has established itself as a trusted and respected organisation within Aboriginal communities across Australia.

Within our foundation our AFL Football academy programs prioritise personal development, leadership, education, and cultural pride alongside football talent and training.

Our Foundation aims to make talent pathways accessible for Aboriginal youth by actively removing barriers for success of Indigenous participation.

In 2023, The Eddie Betts Foundation launched its inaugural football academy, selecting 24 youths from diverse Australian communities for a week in Melbourne.
